JUHUUUU!

Aaaaahhh! I can't believe it! I got nominated to study in USA next fall :D I'm so happy I could die! It has been a big dream of mine to study in The States, and finally it might come true! Iam sooo blown away by it that I can't even study for my exam tomorrow, all that runs through my head is USA,USA,USA :D Nothing can bring me down today!

I looked through some pictures that I had in my camera and couldn't stop laughing at the pictures I took of my friends and myself :) The pictures are from parties I've attended this past month but unfortunately my camera decides to die on me so the pictures have to wait.

But last night I, Joel, Patrik, Evelina, Linda, Marie and Anna had a study night. We had to read a book for the English exam that we have tomorrow but there is just one book, so the best thing to do was gather at Anna's and read it together. But you never get the best ideas sober, somehow you think better when you had a few drinks. We went to Oliver's in because it was the last Tuesday night we would be able to attend before the Holidays. Patrik was kind to drive 7 of us to Ollis in his little car :) Thank you!
I had a blast! A lot of people and a great night!

Now I really have to go back to my studying.... Wish me luck for tomorrow!

Friday

So here we are, it is December and there is a snowstorm outside my window.... no further comments.
Is sick, my ears are hurting, I'm slightly feverish and a major headache! So I go to school, because I can't miss my English lecture and there comes Joel. Joel is a mess and stinks of alcohol and sweat. Of course he had to torment me during the lesson by breathing on me, I swear every time he did it I was about to pass out. Thank god for Evelina for giving hem a cough drop. ;)

Got my new glasses today, is very happy! Got two pairs and love them! Took some pictures so you can admire them on me (haha) :D Heads up! I'm sick and I don't look so fresh! So all people easily frightened, I suggest you look away ;)

I have a feeling that this week-end will be a boring one. I'm open for some suggestions, I'm tired being at home feelin' sorry for myself....

Wednesday

Is home from a pain in the butt exam! We could sit for three hours and write the thing but I was fed up with it after reading the tasks... but I sat there for two and a half hours and I do hope I pass it because if I don't I'm gonna be mad at myself for not sitting another hour.
Exam, why do we have them?

Now I'm ready for some fun fun fun time! I'm going to Anna where we are going to have a chill night with the girls from my English group. That can only mean 1 thing... We will be getting fat! Excellent! :)

Rocktails

Had a great time at Annis party and the fun continued at rocktails which wasn't such a bad place. I just witnessed a girl trowing up at the girl standing in front of her, the dance floor smelled eeeh let me just say refreshing after that. Got some cornrows in my mouth from the guy dancing behind me.... shit just the thought of that disgusting, not that often washed hair in my mouth makes me ill... bläääh! smelly men trying to dance with me and when you push them away they gently reply by cursing away.. my friends and I got almost involved in a fight... which in a odd way with people from my hometown(it is a small world we live in) .....I love that place!
Well despite all the drama I had a great time! Wanna thank all the peeps involved <3
Unfortunately I forgot my camera at home, so no pictures. Which is a good thing, then I spare you the time and your eyes from watching horrifying pictures of myself and I spare myself the humiliations ;)

Today I was working at a daycare and had a blast playing with kids! They surely can bring your frown upside down! The best thing is the naps! You get paid taking naps with the kids! Freaking awesome!

Now I'm back in Vasa, tomorrow awaits some productive assays and reading.. can't wait! :/

Ladies in the house

Tonight is the night when you'll see me shake my derierre. Before we hit the club and all the partying begins, my sisters are coming to town. My little sister wants to buy the new Zelda game. Growing up with three sisters has been a challenge but a joy to my soul and I wouldn't change them for all the richest in the world!

My little sister, the youngest that always gets what she desires. And quite frankly isn't it how it usually goes? My little sisters name is Almina she is 11 years old and a very very smart kid. I would say that she is the smartest of all my sisters including myself. The only problem is that she is lazy. You'll have to drag, push and even threaten her to get her to do something. But I know she will be something great when she grows up! No matter what, I will always be prod of her. She is so smart that when she learned English well enough she took it as an advantage, because she would listen when we (my twin and I)would talk secrets in English when we didn't want or mother to hear, and she would run as fast as she could and snitch to or mother and for exchange got what she wanted! Smart? Fuck hell yeah!

Next up is my twin sister. Yes we are twins, yes we shared the same womb, but... and a big BUT we are nothing alike in any way! People wouldn't even think we were sisters, that is how different we are. Not just in looks but personalities as well. She was/is a tall dark beautiful stranger that would make all the boys/men melt by just looking at them, she is smart and loving person. I was/is the short light haired midget in the corner that seam to scare everyone passing by but still had a sense of humor. Maybe times has changed, maybe I don't look as horrible now as I was then but I could never be compared with my twin. She got it all. And trust me I'm not just saying.
One thing that the twin part actually played a role in our lives was that we would spend every day together, that did change when we started studying in different cities. Okey it wasn't enough that we spent every day of or childhood together now she has to call me everyday as well. I'm not kidding, she would call me every day...EVERY DAY! I got so tired that eventually I answered my phone in a angry voice 'what do you want now?!' :D I love her, my crazy half. She is very protective and being the older one I guess she always found the need to protect me and make choices for me...please stop! :D

My oldest sister Selma is smart as the rest of the bunch! I think god missed passing the book-smart gene to me because I really feel or I really think I'm not as smart as my sisters, not book-smart anyways. Teachers in senior high would look at my twin sister and say 'oh we will see if you are as smart as your big sister (and she is), and for some reason they look at me, give a smile and turn away! hahaha I wonder why? Well back to Selma. Selma has always been the role model for all of us! She is that kind of person that you sit and admire and wish that when I grow as 'old' as her I'll become more or less like her. My sister is quite a forward character. She would say exactly how she thinks, and sometimes it is for the bad, because I do not think she really gets that she can hurt someone, BUT when she says something it's from the heart. When she gives you a compliment you know she mean every word she says! She is the sister you know you can turn to no matter what, she will always be there. And she is probably the greatest mother in the world! PS: She has the strongest arms ever! I remember when I and Adna (my twin) would pick a fight with her, which happened quite often, she would only put her arms on our foreheads and prevent us from biting and scratching her. When she was younger she would pick her eyebrows so much that she barley had any left, and then she would want to fix ours... I'm just saying thank god I had/have such light eyebrows that you can't barely see them for I was afraid if she would pick to much I wouldn't have any at all. I know you gonna kill me for writhing this sis but it is a good memory. You have improved your picking with the age ;)

My sister in short! I know I don't say that I love you that often, but I do! <3 <3
ps: there I am with my chines eyes again! :D

Chinese?

Last night there was a storm outside my bedroom window. It was raining and blowing so much that I was sure that when I wake up the next morning I'll have the flagpole in my bedroom. But to my surprise I woke up to find a glorious morning in Vaasa. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful morning. You know what they say; 'after the rain comes the sun.' or something like that....
Today is Friday and what's so special about this day you might think? well I'll tell ya! It is tax refund day! Got 40€! Not much and got pissed when I heard that one of my friends got 900€! Yeah, you know who you are.. and I hate you a bit ;) but I shouldn't complain, at least I don't have to pay anything back!

Was at my friend Claudia. We had a chill/gossip night with coffee, chocolate and gingerbread! It was lovely and I had the greatest time! Thank you for that <3 Now I have a lot of energy from all the sugar and probably gained some wight but who the f**k cares! It was good and I deserved it! Tomorrow the fun continues, because my dear friend Anni has her birthday party which means getting wasted... and dance the night away at the new disco place (or whatever you wanna call it) that has opened here in Vaasa.

By the way; I look through some old pictures of myself (yeah yeah) and realized that when I smile/laugh you can barely see my eyes! I look like a chines person! Nothing wrong with chines people I think they are lovely but just a silly fact about my eyes... I'll put a picture, and you tell me what ya think ;)

Would I lie to you?

I'm bored, and there are no new episodes of the TV-series I watch. Then I stumbled upon a series; Would I Lie To You? which is a celebrity panel game hosted by Angus Deayton. Two teams try to bluff their opponents with lies that just could possibly be true. And it is hilarious! I can't stop laughing! Shit, I can't believe what kind of stories they come up with and some of them are actually true! I do not think that I have stories quite bizarre as the ones on the TV-series. But then I might?? I'm not quite sure myself....

We have an assignment for Monday, to read two chapters from the book Angela's ashes. Have a couple of pages left that I plan finishing tonight. Tomorrow I have a bunch of other stuff I have to do that I didn't do today. Yeiiii looking forward tomorrow.. not.

Dream

I had the best dream last night. I dreamt about my dad. My dad has been dead for eight years now, and having dreamt about him made me really happy.
In my dream I was helping dad to make a shelf. Yeah, I know wired.. but here comes the sick part! I had a bag of candy in my hands, more specific gummy worms. I would put a gummy worm on the shelf where we would hit a nail. But hey, my dreams never made any sense. After that dream I had a big smile on my face and a huge carving of gummy worms. :)

Soon I'll be off to the gym with Anni and Heidi. My body is still hurting from the fall so I'll guess I'll take it easy this time.

Over and out!

Snow

Jepp, it is here....snow..... hmm.... No I'm not cheerful about this. I actually hate snow, okay hate is a strong word... I do not like it! Here are the top 5 reasons we shouldn't like snow.

1. It gets cold, we lock up ourselves in the apartment and get depressed and start talking to ourselves. (because we don't want to go outside in the cold)

2. Because of the cold we have to dress in warmer clothes and look like Eskimos and walk like penguins.

3. It gets icy and we will fall and brake things.

4. If we get a lot of snow this winter like the last one, then it won't melt until May!

5. Bring out the shovel or be awaken by the bulldozer outside your apartment

I guess the only thing positive about snow is you can see who is lurking in the bushes at night. Sorry if I'm a downer to people who actually like snow (love is a strong word ;)) but that's how it is.

By the way, my friend Marie wanted me to draw a fenix bird for her because she is getting a new tattoo. And of course I will do that! Made a design for another friend not long ago, and now she has my design on her body for the rest of her life :) pretty cool if you ask me.
I've got the sketches right below. Tell me what you're thoughts about them are... be free to comment! I hope you can see the drawings

Clumsy me

First of all I want to thank a special person for being there for me when I was a mess. I'm really lucky to have a friend like you! You even made my bed heheh :D

I was in Närpes yesterday on a meeting and came this morning back to Vasa. Well mom took the car to work so I had to take the bike to the bus station. It was quite icy this morning and I didn't get far when I realized that I had forgotten my phone. So I was about to make a U-turn and I fell! My right side is in such pain. I already got some scratches and bruises on my thigh and arm. Stupid bike! (yeah I blame it on the bike because there was no chance in hell that I had something to do about this ;))

Now I'm going to stuff myself with painkillers because I have massive headache and try to get some sleep.

Good night! :)

The gym

Like I said before, I got my gym card yesterday and now I decided to start working out... a littel bit often then what I normally do. Today I went with my friend Anni. I was 3 hours at the gym! For me that is the longest I had ever been in a gym! I have a feeling I won't be able to move tomorrow.
Now I'm going to enjoy the rest of the evening with a cup of cappuccino and a good movie.

sooo long everybody!

Happy times!

Last night I was at my friend Lotta's place. She invited us girls for dinner. The food was amazing! Ate until I couldn't move! The next morning I was so full from last night that I barley had any food today.. Thank you Lotta and the rest of the girls for a unforgettable night! It was hard to take the pictures of the girls because non of them wanted their picture taken.

Today I got my gym card, so now I'll be working my ass off! Actually just came from the gym. Was on bodystep and I'm finito! Can't move a inch of my body, but damn it feels good!
I even went to the library and did some homework and borrowed some books, I hope I don't have to go back there in a long time... I hope. It took me about an hour to find the damn book that I needed.

Have a great evening peeps!

Monday again..

Had a hectic day today. Had a lot of papers to fill in, find teachers to fill in some more papers and then send it all away. But despite all the time it took and the fact that I had to wake up early to make sure I would send it in time, I had a interesting English lesson today. We were given a paper of different 'statements' about different genres in the English literature. So we were given some time to think and combine the right answers with the right statement, but I wanted to spice things up a little. So I told Joel that if I would get more correct answers then him, he would have to buy me a cider/beer and vice versa. I think the teacher got a little bit irritated at us in the end after shouting Yes all the time we had something right. Unfortunately non of us won :( Maybe it's for the best, because I have no money, even a beer is to expensive for me right now.
The fun has just begun! Soon I'm headed to pretty Lotta for a girls night at her place, with food and gossip..... aaaah Life couldn't be better!

Take care peeps!

Bad day

How many of us have had days where we are feeling at the lowest of the low, where we feel like we're being crapped on. Simply put, it's just one bad day, and this picture is definitely how it looks. But thank god it's Friday!

(The mother elephant is crapping on the poor baby elephant!)

Active Amra

To day when I was done with work I rushed to the store to buy some presents. The presents are for kids that are less fortuned. The school I'm working in has a project that every staff member and student are included. We will buy something that the less fortuned kids will receive on Christmas. I thought it was a great idea! You dont have to do big deeds to make miscalls or at least make somebody happy! But I have to say it was hard to buy stuff for teenagers. I got home and I started to clean. I vacuumed, washed the dishes, cleaned the bathroom and made dinner. Now I'll go for a walk with my dog, and return some books and plan some lessons for tomorrow.

One more thing! There are some special people that had there birthdays yesterday. Once again Happy Birthday Tobbe and Po and I wish you the very best! <3

Nintendo 64

Nintendo 64, those were the days. Brings me back to my childhood and the first time we got it. We were in heaven, my sisters and I. We would play all day long and all night long. We played it so much that my parents had to hide and forbid us to play, because we were actually not getting any sleep. I remember our little sister would sit with us and watch while we were playing it. When we were at school she would make our mom sit and play (I 'm not kidding). Mom didn't know how but she told us that if she didn't, our little sister would start crying. :D
Now it's all upgraded with wii and playstation, x-box etcetera. But I have to say that the old video games have more character. The games are fun with all the cords sticking out, you have to plug it here and there. Games you can never get enough of them!

Over and out!

Teacher

I'm a substitute teacher rest of the week. I have to say I love it. I'm learning to be comfortable in the classroom, finding my voice and my style of teaching. Being a teacher is far from easy. A teacher's life is similar to the life of a professional fighter. One bad fight, and that's the end of your career. But if you're smart and patient, you'll learn the tricks. The classroom is a hard but exciting place. You'll never know what kind of effect you've have on the hundreds of children you teach. Teaching has it's ups and downs. Sometimes the sun is shining and you feel so confident in yourself and the next day you just want to punch everything moving. Sure the pay isn't something to brag about but I can honestly say that I learn something new almost everyday, and I grow alongside with these children. I have a influence in their lives one way or the other, for better and worse. I'll make mistakes, but I'll learn from them as well. What I'm trying to say is Find what you love and do it! I know I found something I love to do.

So what's behind all my philosophical words? I've just read a book that made me think about all this. The book is called Teacher Man written by Frank McCourt. I really advice everybody to read it. I especially love these lines from the book ; " There's nothing more dangerous than letting old men sit in the sun. They might be thinking. And it's the same with kids. Keep them busy or they might start thinking.

Ps: Don't mind the picture, but sometimes I feel like banging my head against the blackboard of frustration ;)

Monday

My day started with me waking up early to get to my university as fast as possible to print some papers before my course started. While I was sitting in the computer room a woman who was sitting next to me was sighed and looked stressed and I just couldn't help laughing to myself a little because it is what you expect on Mondays :)
Was in school from 8.30 to 17.30 and I'm exhausted! I was playing the piano with my piano teacher. Practicing for my exam that's coming up in the near future. I made the mistake today to know all my songs perfectly (according to my teacher) and now I have to pay for it! She suggested that I should play more advanced song for the exam, for example songs in G sharp and B flat! So kids... don't outsmart the teacher and don't try to do better, who are you trying to fool here??! the outcome will always be worse then it was before! Oh well, the only thing for me to do is start practicing.

Now to something entirely different. I've got some products for my hair from my dear friend for my birthday and last night, lack of doing, I started reading the directions at the back and was profound of what I just read! The products that I've got was from this new Aussie collection. I really like the products, they actually do wonders to my hair but the directions hahah blew me away. The thing that I read was going like this; "Before you start open the bottle cover (it helps)" hahaha and then spread a small blob-ette (technical term). Well it is nice to see that they actually thought about the "not so blessed with brains" population as well. God bless the Aussie- Take the Heat products!

Continue having a awesome Monday and smell ya later! :)

I'm Back

Hey peeps! I'm back! so now you have to put up with me once again! Was asked why I don't write no more and was demanded to start writing so... I'll give it one more shot! Last night I was at my friend Annis place. We drank some wine and had a good laugh. And I've learned a new word! My friend Linda had a interesting word for insult in swedish it was skymf, first time I've heard it and I have a hard time remembering it :D Well after that evening I have a little bit of headache but nothing major, woke up however from a noise that was coming from my dear neighbors. They were practicing Finnish at 9 in the morning!!! At first I thought that they turned up the TV very loud but then I hear; - Please listen to i once more and answer the following questions. Well at least I think that that was what they were saying (It's in Finnish ----> me no good!) because there was a pause and then the voice said something about questions, well anyhow I didn't get that much sleep....

Over and out!

Perfect

Found a quote today that made me really happy.. it brightened my day.
It goes like this;

“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”

- Martin Luther King Jr.

Got my paycheck so I decided to pamper myself by buying two dresses and two pair of shoes :)

My Day

I couldn't sleep last night. Slept maybe 4 h, I don't know but when I finally got some sleep the door bell rang.. First I kind of thought maybe they will go away if I pretend that I'm not at home.. well they wouldn't stop ringing soo I got up, opened the damn door and was met by a huge family ( they had goth clothes on) I got scared, thought wtf is going on?? Well it was my roommates parents and her siblings. I went back to my room, was considering in sleeping some more but no! The kids started crying, fighting. The mother was yelling, cooking?? The worst thing was that I had to go to the bathroom but didn't dear to go out of my room because they only spoke Finnish... Now everybody who know me knows I do not speak Finnish... I and Finnish don't go together! Now parents always have something to say to ya. If it's "Oh you must be her roommate?" and then the conversation goes on, or because they made such a noise they would probably wanna apologize.. and I don't mind, I like chatting, but in a language I actually can respond to. And what if I got out of my room? What would I say.. aaahh yeah I'd ONLY lived in Finland for 18 years but here's a funny fact I don't speak Finnish!!? Yeah I don't think so!
Well they finally went and I was able to do whatever I had to do.
School was as usual as always, people stressing, I'm stressing and on and on but I actually got some work done.. I can say so long Newby and I hope I don't have to read you ever again!
Well have a good one! and I'll catch ya later!

Sunday, January 16, 2011

Oh well apologies once again! A lot going on... Honestly I had the worst New Year. It all started with a phone call and you know it's a bad one when mom loudly pronounce the trilling words; "Oh my God"... Grandma was in the hospital and she wasn't getting any better...
We rushed to the hospital and was met by my cousin and uncles. I guess I was a little bit scared when we went in to see her, she was unconscious and the machines kept her alive. My tears couldn't stop rolling down my face, not that I was afraid of death or whatever but the fact that I brought me back to when dad died, so lifeless, so gone from the world...
Well you will be missed grandma and we love you!

Well even if there are bad news life goes on...
My cousins wedding of instance. It was a beautiful winter wedding with good food, nice company and of course the beautiful happy couple!
Sorry to say but have no pic. on this computer and my camera is back home with mom so you'll have to wait for the magical pic. that I took ;)

Another thing, my dear dear friend Aldijana had her "20- birthday" or she will, this Wednesday, but we celebrated her last night. I had a blast and the food mmm was njamiii :)
Loved the food! Looks good ey!? :)Amela, Senka, Aldijana, Me and Mirsada :)Mevlida, Admira, Aldijana and Adna :)Aldijan got a big kiss for her birthday ;)Me and Aldi :)

Thanks for a great night!

I been quite affective today I must say. I've done my laundry! (because I had nothing better to do like school stuff!?) And my brilliant mind came up with the idea of watchin' " Angels in America" I actually don't know why that min series crossed my mind.. oh yeah and I'm eating blueberries I case your wondering ;)

Lot of big kisses from my juicy blue lips!

KISS!
