Would I lie to you?

I'm bored, and there are no new episodes of the TV-series I watch. Then I stumbled upon a series; Would I Lie To You? which is a celebrity panel game hosted by Angus Deayton. Two teams try to bluff their opponents with lies that just could possibly be true. And it is hilarious! I can't stop laughing! Shit, I can't believe what kind of stories they come up with and some of them are actually true! I do not think that I have stories quite bizarre as the ones on the TV-series. But then I might?? I'm not quite sure myself....

We have an assignment for Monday, to read two chapters from the book Angela's ashes. Have a couple of pages left that I plan finishing tonight. Tomorrow I have a bunch of other stuff I have to do that I didn't do today. Yeiiii looking forward tomorrow.. not.

Cheerio!

Dream

I had the best dream last night. I dreamt about my dad. My dad has been dead for eight years now, and having dreamt about him made me really happy.
In my dream I was helping dad to make a shelf. Yeah, I know wired.. but here comes the sick part! I had a bag of candy in my hands, more specific gummy worms. I would put a gummy worm on the shelf where we would hit a nail. But hey, my dreams never made any sense. After that dream I had a big smile on my face and a huge carving of gummy worms. :)

Soon I'll be off to the gym with Anni and Heidi. My body is still hurting from the fall so I'll guess I'll take it easy this time.

Over and out!

Snow

Jepp, it is here....snow..... hmm.... No I'm not cheerful about this. I actually hate snow, okay hate is a strong word... I do not like it! Here are the top 5 reasons we shouldn't like snow.

1. It gets cold, we lock up ourselves in the apartment and get depressed and start talking to ourselves. (because we don't want to go outside in the cold)

2. Because of the cold we have to dress in warmer clothes and look like Eskimos and walk like penguins.

3. It gets icy and we will fall and brake things.

4. If we get a lot of snow this winter like the last one, then it won't melt until May!

5. Bring out the shovel or be awaken by the bulldozer outside your apartment

I guess the only thing positive about snow is you can see who is lurking in the bushes at night. Sorry if I'm a downer to people who actually like snow (love is a strong word ;)) but that's how it is.

By the way, my friend Marie wanted me to draw a fenix bird for her because she is getting a new tattoo. And of course I will do that! Made a design for another friend not long ago, and now she has my design on her body for the rest of her life :) pretty cool if you ask me.
I've got the sketches right below. Tell me what you're thoughts about them are... be free to comment! I hope you can see the drawings

Clumsy me

First of all I want to thank a special person for being there for me when I was a mess. I'm really lucky to have a friend like you! You even made my bed heheh :D

I was in Närpes yesterday on a meeting and came this morning back to Vasa. Well mom took the car to work so I had to take the bike to the bus station. It was quite icy this morning and I didn't get far when I realized that I had forgotten my phone. So I was about to make a U-turn and I fell! My right side is in such pain. I already got some scratches and bruises on my thigh and arm. Stupid bike! (yeah I blame it on the bike because there was no chance in hell that I had something to do about this ;))

Now I'm going to stuff myself with painkillers because I have massive headache and try to get some sleep.

Good night! :)

The gym

Like I said before, I got my gym card yesterday and now I decided to start working out... a littel bit often then what I normally do. Today I went with my friend Anni. I was 3 hours at the gym! For me that is the longest I had ever been in a gym! I have a feeling I won't be able to move tomorrow.
Now I'm going to enjoy the rest of the evening with a cup of cappuccino and a good movie.

sooo long everybody!

Happy times!

Last night I was at my friend Lotta's place. She invited us girls for dinner. The food was amazing! Ate until I couldn't move! The next morning I was so full from last night that I barley had any food today.. Thank you Lotta and the rest of the girls for a unforgettable night! It was hard to take the pictures of the girls because non of them wanted their picture taken.

Today I got my gym card, so now I'll be working my ass off! Actually just came from the gym. Was on bodystep and I'm finito! Can't move a inch of my body, but damn it feels good!
I even went to the library and did some homework and borrowed some books, I hope I don't have to go back there in a long time... I hope. It took me about an hour to find the damn book that I needed.

Have a great evening peeps!

Monday again..

Had a hectic day today. Had a lot of papers to fill in, find teachers to fill in some more papers and then send it all away. But despite all the time it took and the fact that I had to wake up early to make sure I would send it in time, I had a interesting English lesson today. We were given a paper of different 'statements' about different genres in the English literature. So we were given some time to think and combine the right answers with the right statement, but I wanted to spice things up a little. So I told Joel that if I would get more correct answers then him, he would have to buy me a cider/beer and vice versa. I think the teacher got a little bit irritated at us in the end after shouting Yes all the time we had something right. Unfortunately non of us won :( Maybe it's for the best, because I have no money, even a beer is to expensive for me right now.
The fun has just begun! Soon I'm headed to pretty Lotta for a girls night at her place, with food and gossip..... aaaah Life couldn't be better!

Take care peeps!

Bad day

How many of us have had days where we are feeling at the lowest of the low, where we feel like we're being crapped on. Simply put, it's just one bad day, and this picture is definitely how it looks. But thank god it's Friday!

(The mother elephant is crapping on the poor baby elephant!)

Active Amra

To day when I was done with work I rushed to the store to buy some presents. The presents are for kids that are less fortuned. The school I'm working in has a project that every staff member and student are included. We will buy something that the less fortuned kids will receive on Christmas. I thought it was a great idea! You dont have to do big deeds to make miscalls or at least make somebody happy! But I have to say it was hard to buy stuff for teenagers. I got home and I started to clean. I vacuumed, washed the dishes, cleaned the bathroom and made dinner. Now I'll go for a walk with my dog, and return some books and plan some lessons for tomorrow.

One more thing! There are some special people that had there birthdays yesterday. Once again Happy Birthday Tobbe and Po and I wish you the very best! <3

Nintendo 64

Nintendo 64, those were the days. Brings me back to my childhood and the first time we got it. We were in heaven, my sisters and I. We would play all day long and all night long. We played it so much that my parents had to hide and forbid us to play, because we were actually not getting any sleep. I remember our little sister would sit with us and watch while we were playing it. When we were at school she would make our mom sit and play (I 'm not kidding). Mom didn't know how but she told us that if she didn't, our little sister would start crying. :D
Now it's all upgraded with wii and playstation, x-box etcetera. But I have to say that the old video games have more character. The games are fun with all the cords sticking out, you have to plug it here and there. Games you can never get enough of them!

Over and out!

Teacher

I'm a substitute teacher rest of the week. I have to say I love it. I'm learning to be comfortable in the classroom, finding my voice and my style of teaching. Being a teacher is far from easy. A teacher's life is similar to the life of a professional fighter. One bad fight, and that's the end of your career. But if you're smart and patient, you'll learn the tricks. The classroom is a hard but exciting place. You'll never know what kind of effect you've have on the hundreds of children you teach. Teaching has it's ups and downs. Sometimes the sun is shining and you feel so confident in yourself and the next day you just want to punch everything moving. Sure the pay isn't something to brag about but I can honestly say that I learn something new almost everyday, and I grow alongside with these children. I have a influence in their lives one way or the other, for better and worse. I'll make mistakes, but I'll learn from them as well. What I'm trying to say is Find what you love and do it! I know I found something I love to do.

So what's behind all my philosophical words? I've just read a book that made me think about all this. The book is called Teacher Man written by Frank McCourt. I really advice everybody to read it. I especially love these lines from the book ; " There's nothing more dangerous than letting old men sit in the sun. They might be thinking. And it's the same with kids. Keep them busy or they might start thinking.

Ps: Don't mind the picture, but sometimes I feel like banging my head against the blackboard of frustration ;)

Monday

My day started with me waking up early to get to my university as fast as possible to print some papers before my course started. While I was sitting in the computer room a woman who was sitting next to me was sighed and looked stressed and I just couldn't help laughing to myself a little because it is what you expect on Mondays :)
Was in school from 8.30 to 17.30 and I'm exhausted! I was playing the piano with my piano teacher. Practicing for my exam that's coming up in the near future. I made the mistake today to know all my songs perfectly (according to my teacher) and now I have to pay for it! She suggested that I should play more advanced song for the exam, for example songs in G sharp and B flat! So kids... don't outsmart the teacher and don't try to do better, who are you trying to fool here??! the outcome will always be worse then it was before! Oh well, the only thing for me to do is start practicing.

Now to something entirely different. I've got some products for my hair from my dear friend for my birthday and last night, lack of doing, I started reading the directions at the back and was profound of what I just read! The products that I've got was from this new Aussie collection. I really like the products, they actually do wonders to my hair but the directions hahah blew me away. The thing that I read was going like this; "Before you start open the bottle cover (it helps)" hahaha and then spread a small blob-ette (technical term). Well it is nice to see that they actually thought about the "not so blessed with brains" population as well. God bless the Aussie- Take the Heat products!

Continue having a awesome Monday and smell ya later! :)

I'm Back

Hey peeps! I'm back! so now you have to put up with me once again! Was asked why I don't write no more and was demanded to start writing so... I'll give it one more shot! Last night I was at my friend Annis place. We drank some wine and had a good laugh. And I've learned a new word! My friend Linda had a interesting word for insult in swedish it was skymf, first time I've heard it and I have a hard time remembering it :D Well after that evening I have a little bit of headache but nothing major, woke up however from a noise that was coming from my dear neighbors. They were practicing Finnish at 9 in the morning!!! At first I thought that they turned up the TV very loud but then I hear; - Please listen to i once more and answer the following questions. Well at least I think that that was what they were saying (It's in Finnish ----> me no good!) because there was a pause and then the voice said something about questions, well anyhow I didn't get that much sleep....
